it will never happen I suggest you learn how to survive on nothing- how to make things yourself- learn to grow food, how to make soap, how to hunt and process the meat, how to make leather, how to sew, etc- for survival when it gets down and dirty before too long- we wont be able to rely on all of our electrical things when we dont have money to pay the electric bills- learn to do home canning

I beg to differ. We are not heading for another depression because the government now knows how to successfully intervine with the economy to avoid a depression.
While the economy is horrible right now, we are by know means close to a depression. Our economy is a nightmare and we are in a recession, but we will come out of this even stronger than before.
Also, we are not the only ones feeling these economic problems. Every country around the world is starting to struggle economically, even large exporters such as China. So our country is not going to fall apart any time soon.

Not many. People don’t even know how to save for their own retirement let alone the intricacies of national and international markets. Too many people in this country have come to expect others to do things for them. They expect the government to take care of everything. No offense to the people of New Orleans but they would have been better off handling the whole Katrina mess themselves. And I say that because (1) THEY are the ones who live there and know what needed to be done and (2) the government came in and simply screwed it up. They simply should have said to GWB: “Thanks for coming but just give us the money and go away. We’ll handle this.”
This country has invested WAY too much trust and faith into the government and needs to wake up, srtip the government of all the unnecessary crap that they SHOULDN’T be handling, strap on a pair, get off their butts and DO SOMETHING. God helps those who helps himself, not the whiny couch potato who blames everyone else for his problems and poor standards of health and living.
Granted, programs like social security and MediCare are GOOD IDEAS as long as those who DON’T need it DON’T abuse the system by going on the government dole anyway. But it seems that this country is full of people who demand something for nothing and that will only go so far before the financial and resource coffers go bankrupt.
