Nyse: Ticker Symbols For Gold, Silver, Platinum, And Oil?
I’m looking for the New York Stock Exchange ticker symbols for Gold (the one that will show the current value of about US$650.00 per oz), Silver, Platinum, and Oil (all three need the same requirement as Gold). I want to add their ticker symbols to MY YAHOO financial portfolio so I can easily track them. I’m not looking for stocks, futures, options, or the like. Just the straight info on these precious commodities, please. I searched Yahoo Finance, Wikipedia, and Google and couldn’t find what I’m looking for at those sites. Please, no referrals or links – just the ticker symbols. Thanks in advance.

metals such as Gold, Silver, Platinum, and items such as oil, sugar, orange juice, pork bellies, wheat, corn, and others are commodities. These are traded on the Chicago Board of Exchange (CBOE) and are listed under their applicable taxonomy. The companies that handle these items may sell share in the company and that will be listed as stocks on the relevant but separate market. Use the Internet and enter CBOE for the exchange where you can get current prices.

Ticker symbols are for specific stocks or funds or indices, not for commodities.
