Spiritually Speaking, Is It Advisable For Me As A Pagan To Date A Muslim?

There is this gay Muslim guy who wants us to date, and he seems really nice and sincere. Should I do it?

What is it with everyone thinking that Muslims cannot be gay? Sadly too many Muslim men are being murdered in Iraq because of the stone-age way of thinking.
If he accepts you as you are, and does not try to convert you, go for it.

I’d be surprised if a strict Muslim would date a Pagan. Much of my family is Muslim and none of their sons will date a girl who isn’t also.
Keep in mind that if he is practicing it is a huge lifestyle change. From prayer, to diet, to family life it will be very different from what your are used to.
If you are sure you can relate to him in a meaningful way across your cultural boundary go for it, but be careful!

That depends on how open he is to dating a Pagan because you don’t seem to have a problem with his religious beliefs. If he accepts your religion for what it is and can respect your choice without trying to convert you, then I don’t see the problem with dating him. Interfaith couples can work so long as both partners are respectful of each other’s beliefs. Talk to him about your religion upfront and see if he accepts it. If not, I would find someone else because if there isn’t mutual respect from the getgo, the relationship is doomed to fail anyway. I wish you luck.
